Burt's Bees Hand Cream

Normally the days that follow Christmas are spend one way! Eating Christmas leftovers, watching all the film that are on TV and just spending time relaxing. That is exactly what we have done this year but we did manage to get dressed and go out shopping on Boxing day to see if we could find anything in the sales. We did pick up a few things that I will post about if you would like to see them but I wanted to tell you about something I am so glad I have found...that funnily enough wasn't in the sale!

Burt's Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream is one of the most beautiful hand creams I have ever tried. It was a completely random find as we wondered through Harvey Nichols and I am so glad we picked it up. First of all I am in love with the packaging! I will admit that it isn't the most practical of packaging and I don't think I will ever find myself popping it into my handbag but I love how it looks on the dressing table in the bedroom. It is a solid glass jar with a metal screw on lid and it just has such an old/vintage feel to it that I am very fond of.

The cream its self is very thick and luxurious and is a real treat to use, this is another reason I don't think it will ever be something I carry around. Because of the consistency I like to use it at night and let it really soak into my skin, it isn't greasy or sticky and soaks in fairly quickly. Burt's Bees say to use it after every hand wash but I have been using it at night before bed and this has been working fine for me. I have only been using it for a couple of days and can already see a difference in the skin on my hands. They are softer and smoother and I have found by using it at night I wake up with lovely soft hands that feel moisturised all day long.

Another thing that I love about this product is the smell, after the packaging it was what made me want to buy it to try out. It smells like marzipan! Not too strong or too sweet just really quite yummy, so  yummy in fact that I keep opening the jar just to smell it. But what I am pleased with is the fact that it isn't over powering on your hands and doesn't last too long. I don't like when hand creams have incredibly strong scents that last all day long...it can be off putting if you are eating or drinking.

I having been looking for a hand cream for a while now that I really love and enjoy using, not just one that I feel does the job. I really think I have found that with this one! It is beautifully packaged and smells amazing, after washing dishes my hands feel lovely and soft and even the cold harsh winter weather hasn't managed to make them feel dry. It cost around £10 depending on where you find it which at the time I thought was maybe a little overpriced but after trying it I can see it lasting me quite a while so I would say it is worth the money. If you are looking for a new hand cream I would recommend this you can find it here on the Burt's Bees website.

Have you tried any Burt's Bees products?
