Twelve days of Christmas - Lush Bath Bomb

Today as I'm sure you know marks the start of the twelve days to Christmas. I realised this last night and had thought a great way to celebrate this would be to do something special right here. So starting today I will be blogging everyday up until Christmas. It will be a great way to count down the days and share it with other people :) Please let me know if you are doing anything similar, I would love to follow along!  So...

On the first day of Christmas...

I thought it would be fun to review a lush bath bomb, but not just any bath bomb. A Christmas one! It is the Golden Wonder bomb. It is the shape of a present so obviously making it perfect for Christmas time but what makes it even better is that it is covered in gold shimmer and that just makes it so much more festive!

First of all this little present smells amazing! It is not your standard Christmas scent which don't get me wrong, I really enjoy but it is nice to have something a little different. It has a lovely citrus smell to it that comes from the orange oil and lime oil. It also contains Cognac oil but if I am being honest I'm not really sure what that smells like. The overall scent should smell like a "light fizzing champagne cocktail" as Lush describe it.

One of the things I find most exciting about this bath bomb (other than what happens in the water which we will get to in a moment) is that you can shake it and just like a real present you can hear something inside. I love to shake and feel presents to try and guess what is inside so I love the idea of this in a bath bomb.

When you drop your little present into the bath as you would expect by looking at it, the gold shimmer turns the water a beautiful golden yellow colour but then starts to turn green as hundreds of tiny stars start to appear! Eventually the water turns a beautiful teal blue that is just lovely!

When you come to get out of the bath you will find two things! One - the stars have disappeared completely, and two - you are covered from head to toe in gold shimmer! I tried to get the best picture I could of my arm to show you.

Overall I love this product! Apart from the name, that just makes me think of the crisps I can't say a bad word about it. It smells wonderful, the scent is lovely and relaxing and the gold shimmer it covers you in I think makes it wonderful for the Christmas party season because, who doesn't love to sparkle? The price is very reasonable too, £3.25 for a special bath treat is pretty good I think. I plan on getting a few more before all the Christmas stock has gone :)

12 sleeps to go, who is excited?
