Twelve Days of Christmas - Gift Wrapping

On the seventh day of Christmas...

When it comes to the look of my Christmas decorations I am most definitely in favour of the old traditional reds and golds, I love the cosy homely feel it gives. When thinking about how we wanted to wrap presents this year we decided to go for something along those lines.

Last year we chose to use brown parcel paper and lots of ribbon and holly berries. They looked beautiful and although I loved them we wanted to change it slightly for this Christmas.

We chose four different papers, one being actual brown paper but the other three with a similar look. When I am wrapping quite a few presents at Christmas I kind of like to have a theme or a look running through them all so they all look good together.

For decoration we stuck to the same colours and used a mix of curly foil ribbon, fabric ribbon and glittery bows. When I'm using just two colours I think it can sometimes look quite plain so I like to play with textures and sizes of the decorations. It makes it much more interesting to look at when they are all sitting under the tree :)

One of my very favourite things about the whole look of the presents are our gift tags. They are miniature versions of the ones we use for our hampers and I think they are so sweet. I think someone told me they are called luggage tags? Not sure. But they are just gorgeous and look perfect with the brown paper.

Have you got all of your presents this year? How have you wrapped them?

6 sleeps left! It is going by so fast :(

  1. The papers you chose are so pretty! I picked 2 papers that go together. A light blue with silver Ho Ho Hos on it and a silver with light blue and pink holly leaves all over.
