Twelve Days of Christmas - Oh Christmas Tree

On the eighth day of Christmas...

I couldn't do a twelve days of Christmas series with out mentioning my Christmas tree, that would be madness! I have a fake Christmas tree which means a great deal to me as it was a gift from my grandmother a few years ago. As much as I would love to have a real tree to be able to enjoy the smell until I have space for a second tree I don't see that happening.

When she bought me the tree, which is just over six and a half foot and very fat we went shopping and bought lots of tinsel and baubles to decorate it with. Over the years I have slowly replaced all of those things with more special ornaments and while it isn't yet as full as I would like it to be it looks good, or at least I think so. The colour scheme has always been reds and golds and I don't think that will ever change, unless like I said I can find space for tree number two to decorate :)

A few of my other favourite things at aren't on the Christmas tree are a set of snowmen mugs that my mum bought Paul and me two or three years ago, they are so cute sitting together. We got two new stocking this year that are just for decoration, we have two that we use for presents. Another thing is a Hummel figure that I was given a few years ago. I don't collect them, it was only because it was a Christmas one but I love it :)

These mugs are perfect for hot chocolate :)

I really love my Christmas things, it makes me a little sad to think they soon they will be packed away again for another year. But I suppose they wouldn't be a special if they were out all year round. Do you have any special Christmas decorations?

Not long now, only 5 sleeps left!
