Edinburgh Fringe Evening

Last night was our first night out at the Edinburgh Fringe festival this year! It is such an exciting time to be in the city and we had managed to get tickets to see Sarah Millican's stand up show, she is such a funny lady and just so easy to like. We had no set-in-stone plans for the evening other than the show so most of before and after dinner was spent strolling around watching street performers and listening to music. We also made a few naughty stops, first at Patisserie Valerie for macarons -they seemed like the perfect sweet treats to eat as we walked about, I want more pistachio ones today! Then later in Starbucks for a much needed hot latte! We also picked up a slice of pizza just before getting the train home, it wasn't necessary but in some way seemed like it was.

My accessories even matched the occasion, I had on a fringed bag and fringed moccasins which only occurred to me as we were walking and it made me laugh little. Tonight however will be different and some warmer clothes may be required! We will be going to the Edinburgh Tattoo which is always exciting but is outside in the castle grounds and doesn't finish until after midnight at which point I'm not sure it will be as warm.

A trip to Starbucks before the show could be in order!
