Jo Malone : Peony & Blush Suede

I was so excited when I opened this little envelope from Jo Malone yesterday, it was so beautifully presented I couldn't wait to smell it. In the envelope was information on a new fragrance Jo Malone are adding to their permanent collection, not a limited fragrance this time. When I read the name, Peony & Blush Suede I immediately thought it would be too floral for me! Certain perfumes can give me a very sore head after a while, Wild Bluebell is an example, it is another Jo Malone scent but is just far too much for me...even though it is beautiful. I was so surprised and so please when I opened the sample to find that not to be true! The scent is floral but isn't too overpowering. It has lovely fruity notes to it, and is also just a little sweet, which I would think comes from the apple in the fragrance.

Peony & Blush Suede

The essence of Charm
Peonies in voluptuous bloom.
Flirtatious with the juicy bite of red apple
and the opulence of jasmine, rose
and gillyflower. Mingling with
the sensuality of soft, blush suede.

Even though we are coming to the end of summer now I think it would have been a lovely scent for the season. It isn't too heavy and when I smell it something about it just brings me straight to warm Spring Summer days, not that it wouldn't be just as beautiful for any time of year. It is also a much more sophisticated scent, more grown up if that makes sense?

As I said the new fragrance is going to be added to the permanent collection and as far as I know after speaking to a very helpful lady in store, it is going to be released on September 1st or 4th. Also, because it is going to be a permanent fragrance this means you will also be able to pick up the coordinating items such as the candles or body & hand wash! This is definitely a scent I would like to add to my very small, but growing Jo Malone collection and I can see it becoming a favourite in the future.

    1. You definitely should, its lovely. If you aren't sure about what one to try you should make an appointment at the store or counter. They are very good with helping you choose a fragrance, and they give you a lovely little hand and arm massage too. Best of all, its free :)
