Some Favourites from September

I know these kinds of posts always start with "I can't believe it's now...", but to be honest September seemed to take such a long time to pass this year. Not that I want to wish time away, months are disappearing much to quickly for my liking, but compared to every other month so far this year it taken a long time!

I haven't really changed anything to do with make-up or skin care this past few weeks, so nothing new to rave about. Nearly every day I have been reaching for my little Nars palette for any looks I want. I have been mostly using the two top left shades for either all over the lids, or using the greying shade to give a little depth in my crease. The darkest colour is also great to use as eyeliner!

Last month I went back to using an old favourite of mine, my gorgeous black bag from Topshop. Because it is getting slightly cooler, some days cold, I have been able to wear my leather jacket a lot more (nearly every day). The bag just looks so good with it and it's really pretty big so I have once again gone back to carrying everything but the kitchen sink with me. Seriously...why do we carry so much around with us? Another accessory favourite has been my new necklace from Zara, I got it towards the end of the month but have found every excuse possible to wear it. I think it is going to look great with some festive outfits as we get closer to Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas, one of the best things to happen last month was a pre-Christmas, Christmas dinner. Now before you think I have lost my mind I will explain. Every year since she was little my best friend has had Christmas dinner with her family at her Aunts house, this year however she wanted to have it in her own home with her husband, little girl and mum and dad. Because she has never made Christmas dinner, and because I have been making it for years...even when I still lived at home with my mum (I like to cook lol), I suggested a kind of trial to see if she wanted to do it. She did amazingly and is now definitely having it in her own home this year. We spent the day cooking while Christmas music played in the background and A Muppet's Christmas Carol was on TV, it was an odd feeling seeing as it was no where near December but it was a lot of fun.

My last favourite was a show Paul and I went to, if you follow me on Instagram, here, you might have seen a picture. The show was The Illusionists and it was quite possibly one of the best shows I have ever seen! To be honest we didn't know too much about the performers before the show, we had read a little about it and thought it sounded good but after seeing it I have been reading quite a lot about them all. They are all truly amazing a what they do and if you and interested in magic or illusion I would definitely recommend it. They were all good in there own way but a stand out from the group had to be shock illusionist Dan Sperry! I wont say to much about the show as they are still touring but I am still so confused by things I watched him do...amazing!! He also very kindly signed a playing card for me after the show so that was a great end to the night.

Now its October...who is excited about Halloween?
