Essie: Festive Nails

Glitter polishes are always more appealing around this time of year, suddenly the pain of having to remove them seems a little more worth while. I was in Boots recently after some new nail colours and these three caught my eye -not colours I would have immediately associated with Christmas or the festive season but they have turned out to be a real favourite. Don't you love it when that happens?

The white shade "Allure" is a milky white and it goes on very sheer, after a couple of thin coats it gives you a little more colour. "A Cut Above" (the pink) and "Summit of Style" (the gold) are both which chunky glitters and you would need to layer it up if you wanted full coverage from them -but they look great over other colours. The gold looks lovely on top of a dark navy polish! I am really enjoying them all together, with the glitters on alternating nails (if my nails weren't so bad from all the decorating I would show you!). The reason I'm enjoying this combination so much is how subtle it feels, sometimes hard to find with chunky glitter, but still sparkly enough to feel festive :)
