Made Me Happy This Week

Well it's now December and the Christmas tree is up, and as I write this there are 18 sleeps to go until Christmas! This week has mostly been spent sitting by the Christmas tree (enjoying it while I can), writing cards and lists of things that need done. It's been of those lovely weeks that you spend at mostly at home just enjoying not having to go anywhere. It was also Paul's birthday on Thursday and we had a day in the house with friends and family coming and going all day, of course with lots of birthday cake and, oreo truffles! Yup, that's right, our friend brought them round as an extra little gift for Paul -they didn't last long I can tell you.

1. Pockets on clothes. I would like them on everything I wear please! It's not something I notice until I wear something without them...then I'm at a loss as to wear to put my hands.

2. Speaking of pocket-less things, my new onesie has been making me very happy this week. It may not have pockets but it is covered in happy little stag heads -that Paul pointed out look like squid when upside down! lol

3. Being super organised for Christmas dinner (*pats self on back). Earlier this week we made two different stuffing's and two different kinds of cocktail sausages and they are now in the freezer ready for cooking. There are also two tasty looking desserts but they aren't homemade...Tesco did it for us :)

4. Our brick wall in the living room, it have now been pointed and looks amazing, I just can't stop staring at it.

5. It has started snowing!! Ok, so it hasn't really lasted and its only for short periods of time but at least it's happening.

6. Paul making us breakfast this morning (pictured above) -it was wonderful! He knocked up two plates of fluffy pancakes with streaky bacon and maple syrup, I then added some cinnamon spiced dried fruit and nuts, and odd addition at the time but I will be doing it again!

7. Sticky toffee cheese...oh yes, it's a thing! And let me tell you, it's well worth trying if you can find it.

8. This video of 100 years of make-up looks, it's so interesting to watch just how things have changed over time.

9. And oh yes...the Christmas tree is up! Possibly the best thing about this week.
