Twelve Days of Christmas - Bluebird Christmas Tea

It'll come as no surprise to most of you that I love my tea. Don't get me wrong, I love coffee and hot chocolate a whole lot too but I spend most of my time with a hot cup of tea in my hand -especially at this time of year when it's so bloody cold outside. And lets not forget early mornings, I don't think I could wake up properly without one. Because of my love and appreciation for tea, I've gathered quite the selection over time of tea making accessories which I'm sure I'll share soon, but today I wanted to share a new love in my life from Bluebird Tea co.

After hearing fantastic things last year about their Christmas teas, I knew I couldn't let this year go by without ordering some myself -so that's exactly what I did. I wanted to get a good mix of flavours to try so opted for three, all loose leaf. My selection included Snowball, Christmas Cake, and Gingerbread Chai, and let me tell you - I couldn't be happier with them! They all in their own way taste like Christmas!

Snowball - Originally I'd have said this was hand's down my favourite of the lot, but my opinion changes depending on mood and what I feel like. Apparently I'm fickle when it comes to my tea. Snowball has tiny little marshmallows mixed through it, that melt as you pour on the hot water, which I'm not gonna lie -is really quite fun to watch. They, as well as the chocolate in there give the tea a sweet flavour, making it feel like a real festive treat.

Christmas Cake - I'm not the biggest fan of marzipan, so due to this tea blend having almond pieces in it I didn't think I'd enjoy it all that much. So why order it you ask...I know -I did think that myself once I had. However, I'm glad I did. This, like snowball is sweet but it's a much more grown up kind of sweet instead of sugary marshmallow and it tastes fantastic! I can't confirm or deny if it tastes like Christmas cake as it's not something I eat but it does taste like Christmas in a cup. Also, it has tiny snowflakes in it!

Gingerbread Chai - You know when you're so cold, you don't think you'll ever manage to warm up? Well this drink is one of those things that make you feel warm from the inside out, even more so when you make it into a tasty latte. In the cup it does smell exactly like gingerbread, freshly baked out the oven. It tastes warm and is full of spice, I can't think of a nicer drink to come home to after being out in the cold.

I'd recommend any of these teas if your looking for something extra special to drink over Christmas, even though I'd happily drink them year round. I'm now a huge Bluebird Tea convert - I'm definitely looking forward to trying many more from them in the future. And if you'd like a look at their festive offerings you can find them here.
