Made Me Happy This Week

Am I right in saying that it's now Spring? It is starting to feel that way...even if it is still freezing cold most days. There's more sunshine, longer days and there are little flowers starting to appear in the garden. With the sunshine and the fact that it was Pancake Day on Tuesday, it's been a rather lovely week. We went a little overboard with our pancakes. We had people up for dinner, I made three different kinds and we had every topping you could possibly imagine. Some of which, like the cream cheese frosting are still in the fridge. It's unnecessary temptation!

1. Beautiful white flowers. Fresh flowers always make me smile, but there's something about a bunch of white flowers with they're green leaves that I particularly enjoy.

2. Beginning to make birthday plans for both myself and Paul for this year. Nothing definite yet, it's all ideas at the moment, but it's still exciting.

3. My brothers girlfriend is coming up to visit soon, I've been hearing about all the plans this week and I just love how excited he is. We're also looking forward to meeting her.

4. Ed Sheerans new music -especially the song 'Perfect'. In case I've never mentioned it before, I'm a huge fan of his's on repeat more than anything else in our house. So I don't need to say that it's the same story with his new stuff.

5. Tidying up and trimming the apple trees.

6. Black and white film for my Polaroid camera. I can't wait to try it out.

7. The fact that I think we may very well be having pancakes again for dinner tonight. Clearly pancake day wasn't enough.

8. Lamp light. While I'm quite pleased that we're coming into the longer days, I will miss having the lamps on as early in the evening, so I'm making the most of it while I can.

  1. Love Ed Sheerans new album, it's fab! I've been enjoying the longer days but I agree, I need to appreciate the lamps and candles a little longer!
